It's beginning to look like Christmas in Pigeon Forge!
While Ernie and I were in town the first week of December, Old Man Winter came knocking and delivered a nice covering of snow. Mountain roads were closed across to Cherokee and several roads in the GSMNP were also closed. Although the snow in town wasn't enough to even cover the roads, it did create a beautiful scene and it made the Christmas season come alive.
While we were there for a few days, I got the Christmas decorating finished.
AC1's tree is decorated with black bears, blue snowflakes, pip berries and burlap ribbon. The cottage is also decorated with snowmen and seasonal woodland wildlife.
AC2's tree is decorated in modern rustic farmhouse-style with buffalo plaid/deer ribbon, deer horns, pine cones, black and white wooden quotes and little mason jars cover some of the clear lights. The remaining holiday decorations are red poinsettias, red and white pip berries and pine.
We hope our Christmas in the Smokies video will inspire you to plan a trip to the mountains during this beautiful season. Pigeon Forge has many beautiful sights and activities during Winterfest, November through February, each year.
Merry Christmas!
